    EFFECTIVE
    This Tuesday afternoon and evening from 220 PM until 900 PM EDT.
    THREATS
    Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible, Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible, A tornado or two possible, A tornado or two is also possible
    SITUATION
    Thunderstorms are expected to track across Lake Erie and into western New York, then spread eastward across the watch through the afternoon. The strongest cells will pose a risk of damaging wind gusts and hail. A tornado or two is also possible. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles northwest of Jamestown NY to 60 miles southeast of Utica NY.     PRECAUTIONS
    A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce tornadoes.
