Two Binghamton Men Arrested For Theft Of Meat and A Freezer

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division arrested 20 year old Monty Ramey and his brother 22 year old Martin K. Ramey, both of Binghamton yesterday.  The brothers are accused of stealing over $1400 of meat and a freezer from Primetime Foods in the Town of Union.  Martin Ramey who is a former employee conspired with his brother Monty in order to start their own door to door meat selling business.  The theft occurred in late April and Monty was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy on May 19th, while Martin was charged on Tuesday with grand larceny and conspiracy.  Both were release pending arraignment in the City of Binghamton and Town of Union Courts.
