Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputy Kurt Wyman was killed during a domestic incident early Tuesday morning in Knoxboro.
News of her husband’s death caused Deputy Wyman’s pregnant wife, Lauren, to go into labor.
Lauren has now given birth to a baby girl. Mother and daughter are both healthy.
The couple also has an 18 month old son.
The family released a statement, “We would like to express our greatest appreciation to our extended family, friends and the community along with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, his fellow Marines and all other law enforcement agencies.
We would also like to acknowledge the wonderful care and sensitivity of all the hospital staff who were involved.”
