A Towanda man accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill three psychics will stand trial in Wyoming County Court. 32-year-old Craven Vaughn stands accused of three counts of criminal solicitation and attempted homicide. At this week’s preliminary hearing, Pennsylvania State Police testified that in December, Vaughn tried to hire an undercover trooper posing as a hit man to kill author James Van Praagh, Style Channel TV personality Maureen Hancock and investigator/author David M. Baker, all of whom claim to be psychics. Vaughn allegedly met with two undercover troopers and said he had $3000 and could get more money for the hits. They also said Vaughn said he wanted them killed because they were messing with his business. The judge said there was enough evidence to send the cast to court; Vaughn will be arraigned on March 1st.
