Broome County officials are encouraging the public to take advantage of new job training opportunities available in the area. The Broome/Tioga Workforce center recently received a $112,000 grant through the Federal Disability Employment Initiative, to fund employment training programs for the injured and disabled. County Executive Debbie Preston announced the grant on Thursday, and says there are currently more than 3,000 jobs available within a 50 mile radius of Broome County.
