Police have charged a Cortland man in connection with a shooting last week in Collegetown, Ithaca. 22-year-old Tyrell Mccargo was arrested around 8pm Monday at the Ithaca Police Department Headquarters, where he had turned himself in. He was charged with second-degree assault in connection with the shooting, which happened on January 29th. Another 22-year old man was injured in that incident but his wounds were not life-threatening. Police say Mccargo then fled the scene. After the arrest, he was arraigned in Ithaca City Court and ordered held at the Tompkins County jail on $10,000 bail.
