A Friday night fire has claimed the life of a toddler in Towanda. It happened just before midnight Friday at a home on North Fourth Street. That’s across from Morrow Elementary School. State police say two adults and a child were able to get out of the home, but a two-year-old boy was trapped and died in the fire. Crime scene tape blocked off multiple sidewalks near the home and two charred vehicles remained in the driveway afterward. Police are not yet releasing the victim’s name. Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
