A Binghamton woman will spend 25 years to life in jail for the murder of her two-year-old son. 25-year-old Veronica Taft was convicted back in August for the 2010 murder of her son, Lyric. Lyric was found dead in a Fayette Street apartment in 2010. Taft maintained her innocence throughout her sentencing hearing this morning at the Broome County Court. She received the maximum sentence, but her attorney says they plan to appeal.
