New York State Police offered more details about the third set of remains they found in connection with last week’s arson and suspicious deaths investigation in Walton. They believe 49-year-old Randy Sundstrom, was murdered and the key suspect is his wife. When Debra Sundstrom failed to appear in court for a larceny hearing, it set off a chain of events last week that no one could have predicted. Wednesday, she and another man were found dead in a burnt out home on John Lockwood Road in the Village of Walton. Two days later, police uncovered the remains of her husband. Yesterday, troopers offered more insight about Randy Sundstrom’s death. They believe he was killed about three years ago and although the manner and cause of his death have not been determined yet, it’s being ruled a homicide. State Police used K-9s to locate the body of Randy Sundstrom in a sealed barrel in the backyard of their home. Troopers say Sundstrom was never labeled as a missing person. They initially wanted to speak with him about his wife and that’s when they found out he hadn’t been seen by anyone in years. Debra’s death has been ruled a suicide. Police say 51-year-old Dominick Bosco, whose body was also found inside the burnt out home, had been dead for several days. His death remains under investigation, but detectives do believe he and Debra Sundstrom had a relationship. State Police are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
