The Vestal Central School District will be honoring Mary Greene Sherlach at this year’s hall of fame ceremony. The 1974 graduate was one of the first people killed in the Newtown shooting tragedy last year. Sherlach was shot and killed by the gunman after she and the principal confronted him at Sandy Hook Elementary School. This May, Sherlach will be one of four people inducted into the Vestal Hall of Fame. The dinner and ceremony will be held May 30th. Tickets are still available.
