A fire has destroyed a home in the town of Conklin. Crews were on the scene Sunday evening at the home on Montrose Drive from around 5:15 to 11:30 at night. The Conklin Fire Chief says the house is a total loss. No one was inside during the fire, but one firefighter reportedly did sustain an eye injury, which was described as not serious. Eight different fire crews responded to the call. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
