Two people were arrested in Binghamton for possessing stolen jewelry and drugs. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office responded Thursday to 27 Tompkins Street in the city of Binghamton. 23-year-old Joshua Kramer, and 21-year-old Harlee Skinner, were found inside the apartment.
Detectives took the two into custody for previously possessing stolen jewelry from a Town of Union second-hand jewelry store.
The sheriff’s office says the recovered jewelry was stolen during a burglary of a Town of Nanticoke residence. During the investigation, detectives also found drug paraphernalia in the apartment. After serving a search warrant, detectives found seven glassine envelopes with what was believed to be heroin and ingredients and equipment for making methamphetamine. The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team and the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force assisted at the scene.
Both Kramer and Skinner were arraigned in the Town of Union Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail.
