A UPS tractor trailer and passenger vehicle were involved in a fatal crash at about 5:45 Wednesday morning in Cayuta on Route 13, in Schuyler County.
Edward B. Farmer, 50, of Pine City, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Farmer was driving a pickup truck that crossed the center line into the path of a tandem UPS trailer driven by Wayne Frisbie, 39, of Illinois.
That stretch of route 13 was shut down for most of the day yesterday while state police conducted an accident re-construction.
