Tioga Downs Casino has announced a record fiscal year. The casino announced Thursday that their gross gaming revenues were $61 million, a two percent increase over the previous fiscal year. Over $23.7 million was generated for education during this period, an increase of 3 percent over the previous year and the highest produced since Tioga Downs opened its gaming floor in 2006. During the 2012-2013 fiscal year, Tioga Downs produced over $300,000 for local governments, including just under $200,000 for Tioga County, and over $82,000 for the Town of Nichols. The casino contributed over $420,000 in state and county tax, as well as $258,000 in tax revenue to the Tioga Central School District.
