The former treasurer of the Vestal Recreational Youth Soccer League has pled guilty to grand larceny after admitting to stealing over $17,000 from the organization. 47-year-old Sandra Scharnikow, of Endicott, admitted that from June 2012 to December 2012, she stole $17,400 while serving as the league’s treasurer. Scharnikow paid full restitution to the soccer league before entering her plea. She was released on her own recognizance and will be sentenced in June, and could face up to seven years in prison.
