The woman killed in a Tuesday morning fire has been identified. New York State Police say 71-year-old Barbara Cadwell died in the blaze. Firefighters arrived at 311 Tunnel Road in Fenton to find the home engulfed in flames. State police say Cadwell was the only one home at the time. It took hours to fully extinguish the fire. Once crews had it under control, Cadwell’s remains were found inside. Investigators say she died from smoke inhalation. The death was ruled accidental. Investigators believe the fire started as a result of a wood stove.
