Local Wendy’s restaurants have donated over $5,000 to the American Red Cross. During March, which was Red Cross Month, 17 Wendy’s restaurants across the Southern Tier area stepped up their efforts to raise money for the non-profit organization. Customers raised the money for the donation by purchasing Red Cross squares for one dollar, in addition to their bill. Local Red Cross executives say the money will be used to help people during emergencies and disasters across the Southern Tier.
