Aaron Powell was arraigned on murder charges Wednesday morning. The 39-year-old is facing two counts of second-degree murder and one count of first-degree murder in connection with the March deaths of his estranged wife, 35-year-old Christina Powell, and 24-year-old Mario Masciarelli. Each count carries a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. Powell’s court-appointed attorney, Thomas Cline, entered a not-guilty plea on behalf of his client. At the time of the double-homicide, authorities had to launch a manhunt for Aaron Powell, eventually finding and arresting him at a convenience store in northern Pennsylvania.
