Waverly Police made four arrests Saturday night, when the vehicle they pulled over, turned out to be a rolling meth lab. Officers stopped a vehicle on West Pine Street for a traffic infraction and discovered that there was a methamphetamine lab inside the vehicle.
The driver, 35-year-old David Brown of Athens was taken into custody along with passengers 35-year-old Angela Bingham of Owego, 32-year-old Samantha Cyr of Owego and 33-year-old Kevin Hopkins of Owego.
Also located inside the vehicle were needles, bags of methamphetamine, and various chemicals used to make methamphetamine. All four were charged with Criminal Possession of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and Cyr was also charged with false impersonation after she gave Officers a false name. Brown, Bingham, Hopkins and Cyr were taken before the Waverly Justice Court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail on Bail.
Waverly Police were assisted by the Waverly Barton Fire Deptartment, Tioga County Hazardous Materials team, Greater Valley EMS, and the New York State Police Chemical Response Team.
