A woman has been taken to the hospital after jumping from her truck as it rolled into a pond. Tuesday morning just after 8 o’clock on Donna Lane in Conklin, a woman was driving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, when the brakes failed and the truck began rolling backwards. The woman jumped from the truck before it entered the pond. She was taken to the hospital, and there is no word on the severity of her injuries. The Broome County Water Rescue, the Conklin Fire Department, the Town of Binghamton Fire Department, and New York State Police were on the scene. It took crews nearly three hours to pull the truck out of the water.
