Ithaca police are asking for help finding a man who reportedly pushed a female Collegetown resident into her front door. Police say the incident happened just before 2:30 Saturday morning in the 100 block of Linden Avenue in Ithaca. The woman reported she walked home alone from College Avenue and Dryden Road. When she arrived at her front door, she was grabbed by her shoulders and pushed into the door by an unknown man. She was able to fight him off, then reportedly ran to a friend’s residence on College Avenue. The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties. He has light colored hair and was wearing light colored clothing, and is about 5’10” tall. No threats were made, no weapons were displayed, and the woman was not injured.
