Another meth lab has been discovered in Chemung County. A search warrant was carried out on Richard Street in the Town of Southport around 5 o’clock Tuesday morning. Deputies say they found meth and a hidden meth lab inside. This meth lab was reportedly a two-person operation, as 38-year-old Charles Zwanka and 20-year-old Christie Petty are both facing charges. The District Attorney’s office in Chemung County says that prior to 2012, there was an average of 3 to 4 meth labs discovered each year. This year alone, there have been six discovered, three of which have been found in the past week.
