A 60-year old Endicott man was sent to the hospital after his motorcycle was hit head-on. Ryck Slicklen was riding his motorcycle Friday when he was struck at the intersection of Watson Boulevard and Harding Avenue in Endwell. 88-year-old Joseph Marhefka of Endwell failed to yield the right of way, according to police, when he struck Slicklen. Slicklen suffered two broken legs and was transported by ambulance to the hospital after the crash. Slicklen was traveling west on Watson Boulevard, and Marhefka was traveling east, when both vehicles struck at a 45-degree angle near the intersection. The motorcycle was totaled and Marhefka’s vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage, although he was not injured. Marhefka was ticketed by police after the accident.
