Just a month-and-a-half after retiring, a long time Chemung County judge has died. Judge Peter Buckley passed away Monday morning at the age of 66. He had served the community for more than 40 years. Most recently, he was the acting justice at the Chemung County Supreme Court. At the same time, he was a surrogate court judge and a supervising judge for the sixth judicial district.
