A memorial service has been planned for the Southern Tier soldier who died in Afghanistan last week. Family and friends of 25-year-old Sergeant Justin Rogers are planning to get together Thursday at the Tioga Central Middle School Auditorium to celebrate his life. Rogers was from Barton and graduated from Tioga Central High School in 2007. Thursday’s memorial will be held at 6 p.m. Rogers will be buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
