A Waverly man was arrested and a woman is wanted following a foot pursuit on Broad Street Monday morning. According to Waverly police, 24-year-old Kevin Shipman, of Waverly, was walking on a railroad bridge with Julia Martin when officers approached to advise them to stay off the property. As the two fled the scene, Shipman dropped a bag containing drug paraphernalia, needles and narcotics. Shipman was picked up by a vehicle on Route 17 following the incident, but was later located with the car and taken into custody. Charges are pending against the driver of the car. Martin is still at large. Anyone with information is asked to contact Waverly police at (607) 565-2836.
