Endicott police have released information on two teenagers accused of robbing a 23-year-old man by stealing his knife and then threatening him. On July 18, police charged 18-year-old Michael Cooper Jr. with a felony count of robbery and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon. Police also charged a 16-year-old boy with misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property in connection with the incident. Police said Cooper forcibly stole a knife, which had been hanging from a sheath around the 23-year-old man’s neck, and then threatened him with it during a confrontation in the Union Alley. Endicott officers responded at 9:09 p.m. and found Cooper and the 16-year-old who carried the knife a short distance from the scene, police said. Cooper was arraigned in the Village of Endicott Court and remanded to the Broome County jail without bail. The 16-year-old was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
