A tractor trailer rollover in Kirkwood dumped garbage into the median. According to the Broome County Sheriff Department, the accident happened just before 7:30 Sunday night. The driver was traveling from New York City on State Route 17W, carrying garbage. Police said the driver decided to head to a rest stop on Upper Court Street in Kirkwood when the truck started swerving and tipped. No one was injured. As of now, police believe it was a mechanical issue, but are still investigating. Five Mile Point Fire Company and New York State Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.
