An apartment fire in Elmira early Wednesday morning sent two people to the hospital. Fire crews were called to 361 West Second Street just before 3 AM. Firefighters were able to contain the flames to second floor apartment. A 12-year-old boy and a 44-year-old woman had to be rescued from the roof. They were both taken to the hospital with second and third degree burns. Their current condition is unknown. Investigators are yet to determine what caused the fire.
