The man who jumped into a pond last week to save a dog’s life has passed away. The incident happened last Wednesday at the Camper’s Haven Campground in Bath. State Police say Earl Gallant of Alberta, Canada jumped in because a dog was struggling to swim. He ended up going under and was submerged for about 13 minutes before rescuers were able to pull him out of the water. Gallant died Saturday at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
