Police are on the hunt for a man who evaded them in Corning over the weekend. According to investigators, 33-year-old Robert Rouille, is wanted for an attempted armed robbery in Southport Thursday. State Police say he ran away from them on Saturday after a traffic stop in South Corning. Residents in the area were alerted by 911 dispatchers to keep windows and doors locked, and to stay inside. Investigators believe he is no longer in that neighborhood. The woman who was driving the car with Rouille was arrested. Troopers say Tanya Buchanan had heroin and cocaine in the vehicle. She has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. State Police are continuing their search for the man. Troopers are now working with the Chemung County Sheriff’s department following leads in the case.
