State Police have arrested an Ithaca man after he is accused of flipping his car with his child inside. 35-year-old Kevin Smith was reportedly intoxicated when the incident took place on Route 13. His 8-year-old child was a passenger in the car during the crash. Smith was arrested under Leandra’s Law, because there was a child under 16 in the vehicle. He was arraigned in Newfield town Court and will appear in court at a later date.
