Before the snow started to fall, Binghamton University students put a new twist on a 5K run.
For the first annual “Strip for a Cause,” students ran around the university, taking off layers of clothing along the way. Proceeds from the race will go to the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County. The clothes will be donated to the Broome County Urban League’s thrift shop on Main Street. Event organizers said they were happy to donate during the season of giving. Organizers said more than 80 people joined in Strip for a Cause. They hope to increase that number next year.
