The charges for the Chenango County man who brutally beat a woman have been upgraded. 48-year-old William Danielson is now facing a charge of second-degree murder after his ex-girlfriend passed away from her injuries on Sunday. 39-year-old Lucinda Knoll was allegedly assaulted and robbed by Danielson in her driveway on Bourbon Street in Norwich on Friday. Danielson had originally faced an attempted murder charge prior to Knoll’s death. He is currently in custody awaiting arraignment in Norwich Town Court. Police continue to investigate.
