Vestal Police investigated a crash involving a car and a utility pole that knocked out power for some local residents. The crash took place at the intersection of Vestal Road and Third Avenue in Vestal Wednesday morning. According to the police, the car struck the pole and caused the surrounding streets to lose power. Vestal Road had to be shut down into the evening on Wednesday as NYSEG made repairs, eventually restoring power. Vestal Fire and NYSEG assisted police at the scene.
