The City of Ithaca continues to monitor water levels as it prepares for more flooding this weekend as the temperatures rise. The city received permission from the Department of Environmental Conservation to spray treated waste water on an area where the worst ice jam had formed on Cascadilla Creek. The treated water provides no health risk. The 50 degree water was going to be put into Cayuga Lake regardless, but is now being used to try to help break up ice.
