One man is dead after a car accident on Conklin Forks Road in the Town of Conklin late Saturday night. Broome County Sheriff’s Office said is appears the driver, 28-year-old Matthew Desanctis of Conklin lost control of his 2001 Honda Civic, crossed over the double yellow line and hit a tree. Desanctis was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is still ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Conklin Fire and Broome Ambulance.
