Six people have been charged after police raided a suspected meth lab in Vestal. Vestal and State Police have released information related to a search warrant being executed on Friday at 2231 Vestal Parkway West, where they say a meth lab was found inside. The investigation initially began ten days prior when officers went to the Vestal residence in search of a woman who was wanted on an arrest warrant.

At that time, officers noticed a strong odor of Coleman fuel, a known ingredient used to produce meth.

Three adults and a child were inside the home at that time. Now 47-year-old Robert Ricci, 26-year-old Sarah Beabien, 27-year-old Candi Sherwood, and 52-year-old Nanette Tomchick, all of Vestal, along with 46-year-old Patricia Mallon of Johnson City and 28-year-old Kyle Larnerd of Rome, Pennsylvania, are all facing charges. Ricci is facing the stiffest penalties, with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, and criminal sale of a controlled substance, along with misdemeanor charges of possession of a hypodermic instrument and endangering the welfare of a child. Beabien and Sherwood are also charged with the misdemeanor counts, while Tomchick, Mallon, and Larnerd all face misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The investigation was conducted by the Vestal Police Department with help from multiple divisions of the New York State Police.
