The elementary students at Tioga Hills in Vestal will be getting a special thanks from the American Heart Association after the school raised over $12,000 for the organization this year alone. Students at the school celebrated Health Heart Month by participating in the AHA’s Jump Rope for Heart program in their physical education classes this month. A representative will be on hand to thank the students on Friday. Tioga Hills has participated in the Jump Rope for Heart program for over five years, raising close to $30,000 over that span.
