Thirteen properties in Binghamton are facing the potential of being put on lockdown due to repeated crime and other disturbances. The properties have accumulated points for being the sites of murder, assaults, rape, drug activity, and other general disturbances, and could now be taken away from their owners. At this time, the property owners are being mailed a lockdown warning letter. The actual lockdown of a property is a court-ordered process, and if owners do not comply, they could face a civil trial in court.
