Multiple arrests were made on Wednesday following investigations into bank robberies in the Elmira area, and more arrests could be on their way. 24-year-old Tracy White Jr. was arrested at his East Clinton Street home after police allege that he robbed the Finger Lakes Health Care Credit Union on Hart Street on November 2nd, and robbed the same bank again on December 4th, the second time with an accomplice. That accomplice is believed to be a 15-year-old who was also arrested, but no further information has been released at this time. White is also accused of robbing the Elmira Savings Bank on Church Street back on January 31st. Police say that community leads and help from multiple agencies led to the arrests. Both White and the teen are being charged with first degree robbery, with White being held in the Chemung County Jail on $250,000 bail. Police say further arrests are anticipated as their investigation continues.
