The Elmira Police Department responded Sunday afternoon to a report of shots fired. Shortly after two o’clock Sunday, police were called to the area of North Main Street and West Fifth Street in Elmira, and upon arrival, officers found that multiple shots had been fired at a car on the 600 block of North Main Street. One person had to be hospitalized following the incident for a non-life-threatening wound. Police continue to investigate, and anyone with further information is asked to call the Elmira Police at 607-737-5614.
