It was a tough ending to a dream season for Syracuse when the Orange fell to Dayton on the third round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday night, 55-53. Freshman guard Tyler Ennis was the final hope for Syracuse, but his last-second attempt was no good, and was rebounded by Dayton, giving the 11-seed Flyers the victory over the 3-seed Orange in Buffalo. Ennis led Syracuse in the game with 19 points, 17 of them coming in the second half. In his final collegiate game, Senior CJ Fair posted his third double-double of the season, with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Syracuse missed out on an opportunity to take on 10-seed Stanford in the Sweet 16 after the Cardinal upset 2-seed Kansas on Sunday, but instead will be watching from home. With the final loss, the Orange wrap up their first season in the ACC at 28-6 overall.
