The man that admitted to having methamphetamine and a homemade explosive in Endwell was sentenced Tuesday in Broome County Court. 23-year-old Jeffrey Blunk will be serving a prison sentence of three years after he was arrested back in October at the home at 3410 Luther Street in Endwell. Investigators had been following up on a lead when they made the arrest, after police in Illinois issued a nationwide warrant for Blunk’s arrest on meth-related charges. He then pleaded guilty in December to felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon. In exchange for the guilty plea, prosecutors recommended three years in state prison. Blunk is accused of possessing more than one-eighth of an ounce of meth while in Endwell, along with a homemade bomb that was similar to a hand grenade. The original raid by police was conducted by the Broome-Endicott SWAT team, the Endicott Police Bomb Squad, the U.S. Marshals and state police.
