The 44th annual Maple Festival ended on a high note Sunday with thousands of visitors filling the streets of Marathon. The festival hosted activities including chainsaw-wood carvings, helicopter rides, and horse-drawn wagon rides. The all-you-can-eat pancake meal was a popular hit. This year’s Maple Queen Eryn Griep said she loves how the Maple Festival unites the community. Planning has already begun for next year’s Maple Festival.
