The Waverly Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a man wanted in the case of Monday’s mobile methamphetamine lab. The department is actively looking for 26-year-old Joshua Donahue. Donahue is wanted for criminal manufacture of methamphetamine in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, and possession of precursors to methamphetamine, all felonies. The charges come after a member of the Waverly Police Department spotted a red Jeep committing traffic infractions on Chemung Street early Monday morning, and after attempting to pull the Jeep over, a brief chase ensued. The Jeep was found crashed and abandoned in a backyard along Waverly Street. Upon investigation, police found a number of suspicious items inside the vehicle that were indicative of a meth lab. Donahue has connections to the Spencer, Ithaca, Sayre, Athens, and Rome areas. If anyone has information on his whereabouts, please contact the Waverly Police at 607-565-2836, or contact your local law enforcement agency.
