A New York State Department of Transportation worker had to be sent to the hospital after he was pinned between a construction vehicle and a tractor trailer. The incident took place in Endicott around 10:30 Thursday morning on the Route 26 southbound ramp off of East Main Street. According to officials, DOT employees were paving the ramp when a tractor trailer came too close coming around the bend, causing the man to become wedged between the two vehicles. Endicott and Endwell fire departments assisted at the scene. The worker suffered injuries that were listed as non-life-threatening and he was taken to the hospital by an ambulance.
