State Police out of Towanda have arrested a man for a violation of sale or transfer of firearms. 43-year-old William Lafritz is also being charged with unsworn falsification to authorities. Lafritz is accused of attempting to purchase a firearm at a gun dealer in Ridgebury Township even though he was prohibited from doing so. That’s when police say he falsified an application form, claiming that he was not prohibited from purchasing a firearm. He was arrested on Friday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next week.
