An Athens man was sent to the Tioga County jail after he was wanted on a warrant for failure to pay child support. 24-year-old Steven Wheeler was picked up by the Waverly Police Department and turned over to the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office. Wheeler was arraigned in Waverly village court before being remanded to the Tioga County jail on $5,000 bail. He is set to appear in county court at a later date.
