Seton Catholic Central had to be put on lockdown for about two hours on Wednesday after a phone threat was made to the school. No specifics were released, but the threat reportedly targeted the student body. Officials say the threat was likely a prank but was taken seriously regardless. The Binghamton Police Department worked with school officials to search the building at 70 Seminary Avenue around 11 o’clock when the lockdown first began. Students stayed in the room they were in prior to the lockdown for the full two hours. Classes eventually resumed as scheduled. The phone threat was recorded and police are currently investigating.
